COMMODITIES- Strong start to the week

It was a strong start to the week in most fuel markets, and carbon almost reached the EUR 25/tonne mark.
The benchmark December 08 carbon contract traded between a low of EUR 24.20/t and high of EUR 24.95/t, before ending the day at 24.61 on the ECX. Market players expected the contract to reach last weeks EUR 25 level, even though the EC’s cut of 5.2 per cent in the Finnish NAP2 was not as severe as previously anticipated.The corresponding contract on Nord Pool started trading at EUR
