Fuel markets firmed across the board on Friday, but a stronger dollar is pulling down oil prices Monday morning.
Crude oil prices have strengthened lately on the back of a sliding US dollar, which has encouraged investors to buy commodities. This morning however, prices are softening on the back of a strengthening dollar and speculations that slowing growth may curb demand. Commodity markets were influenced by strong oil prices on Thursday, but crude markets fell late in the day. Moreover, coal prices on the API2 curve gained almost four dollars yesterday.
