Commodities - Still very high

Although most prices on the curve ended down on Friday after a week of rangebound trading, levels are still very high.
Gas prices were mixed on Friday, with prices for the next half year easing off while both contracts further out and the prompt market firmed at both NBP and Zeeebrugge. The upward push for the Winter 06 contract that began in earnest in the second week of November, when the contract shot up from the 60 mark, showed little sign of abating last week. The contract closed just above 80 p/therm on M

The last trading week before Christmas started with plummeting gas prices and volatile oil prices. Carbon traded sideways. Monday’s trading saw most gas contracts falling significantly both in the UK and on the continent, with only marginal gains registered in the far end of the curve.

The last trading week before Christmas started with plummeting gas prices and volatile oil prices. Carbon traded sideways. Monday’s trading saw most gas contracts falling significantly both in the UK and on the continent, with only marginal gains registered in the far end of the curve.

Oil prices fell Thursday morning, but increased later in the day to close higher than the previous day. Gas prices turned north again, while carbon prices moved sideways.
