Oil prices are back in a bearish mode after having taken a turn north on Monday. Also coal and carbon softened, while the movements in the gas market were mixed.
In New York, the WTI crude oil contract for February delivery ended the day down USD 2.30 at USD 91.90/barrel after having peaked at USD 94.38 earlier in the trading session. This was the lowest close since 20 December. The corresponding Brent contract at London's ICE, due to expire today, settled at USD 90.98, down USD 1.94 from the previous close.
