UK gas prices fell in the afternoon, contributing to softer carbon prices. Crude oil prices are down Tuesday morning after touching a record near USD 120/barrel yesterday.
Prompt gas prices fell yesterday, while the long term contracts gained in value. On the UK NBP hub, the contract for May lost 1.80p to settle at a midprice of 61.50 p/therm, and the Q3-08 contract ended the day down 0.55p at a midpoint of 63.95 p/therm. Meanwhile, Q4-08 gained 0.85p to 80.40 p/therm, and Cal 09 rose 0.90p to 75 p/therm.Price movements were similar at Zeebrugge, where the
