Oil and coal prices adjusted sharply down on Tuesday while the picture in the gas market was more mixed.
In the oil market, the front month WTI contract lost EUR 2.93 to settle at USD 99.52/barrel while inLondon, the front month Brent contract fell 2.96 to USD 97.52/barrel.According to the Financial Times, one reason for yesterday's fall was profit taking after the price of oil surged to an all time high of USD 103.95/barrel on Monday.
