Crude oil prices softened from the record levels seen on Friday, and prices for gas, coal and carbon also weakened during Monday.
The front Brent month eased off 57 cents to settle at USD 143.92/barrel on the ICE, while WTI crude for August gained 10 cents to end the day at USD 145.18/barrel inNew York.
