Commodities - Soft end of week for oil and gas

Fuel prices moved down Friday, while carbon returned back to Thursday’s close after a downward movement earlier during the trading session.
Prices on the gas marked have been increasing gradually in value the recent period. On Friday, however, some losses were registered on the back of positioning, a technical correction and a sideways movement in the oil market. “Many market players are long due to the mild winter and I don’t expect the gas prices to move substantially up in the near future,” one German gas trade

Carbon prices for the second phase increased on Thursday, following bullish input from a carbon conference in Denmark, as well as firmer power prices in Germany. Meanwhile, oil and coal eased off from Wednesday.
