Prices for crude oil traded down sharply Wednesday on the back of a bleak economic outlook and higher inventory levels in the US, analysts said.
In London, the front-month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil settled at USD 64.52/barrel, a loss of USD 5.20 on the previous session. The contract opened at USD 68.87/bbl, which was also the session-high, while the lowest trade was recorded at USD 63.96/bbl.
