Oil traded at record high levels on Friday amid strong US demand and geopolitical concers. The UK gas was also seen tracking the northern path, while the carbon market was quiet.
Crude oil prices soared above the USD 75 level both in New York and in London Friday before falling below the previous day’s settlement levels in the afternoon. In a day of considerable volatility, the Nymex WTI front month traded between 73.85 and 75.78, while the Brent saw deals going though between 73.25 and 75.09.  August was finally fixed at USD 74.09 in New York, down approximately
