Commodities - Prices retreat

The commodities markets corrected downwards Thursday afternoon. Oil prices started above the USD 74 mark, but later traded down towards USD 73.
At Nymex, crude oil for June peaked at a new record of USD 74.50 a barrel on supply concerns from Nigeria after a bomb attack. In addition, US gasoline stocks saw a sharp drop, and there are still concerns about the Iranian output, the Financial Times reports.However, prices eased off in the afternoon, with June settling at 73.69, down 43 cents day on day.
