Commodities - Players await direction from economic pointers

Oil prices aretrading flat on Tuesday morning while players await more direction ahead of the publication of US corporate earnings reports from the big banks and Chinese macroeconomic data.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands down USD 0.17 at USD 76.93/bbl on the ICE platform, while on Nymex, the WTI February contract last traded USD 0.12 higher at USD 78.01/bbl. On Monday, the Brent contract ended the day USD 0.01 lower at USD 77.10/bbl, while there was no WTI settlement on Nymex due to the Martin Luther King holiday
