Oil is strengthening on Monday afternoon, but many players are already turning their eyes towards December's Opec meeting , which may be the next "wild card” for the direction prices take.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 79.83/bbl on the ICE platform, up USD 0.91 on Friday's close.
The contract had traded in a USD 78.15-80.10/bbl range to the time of writing.
On Nymex, the WTI December contract last traded USD 0.80 higher at USD 81.30/bbl.
