While carbon prices ended slightly up on Wednesday, prices in the various fuel markets moved south.
Cruce oil prices have taken a bearish turn in recent days. Despite weekly US inventories showing a fall in crude and gasoline stocks, prices in the crude oil market fell on Wednesday. The ICE September Brent contract fell 72 cents to USD 73.08 a barrel, while the Nymex September WTI contract dropped USD 1.16 to USD 71.89/bbl. The ICE front month contract was last traded down 63 cents at USD 72.
