Oil prices are trading a touch softer on Tuesday morning on the back of a stronger dollar and weaker equities markets in Asia and values remain "vulnerable” on poor fundamentals, said an analyst.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 73.57/bbl on the ICE platform, down USD 0.69 on Monday's close, while Nymex light sweet crude oil was down USD 0.53 at USD 73.84/bbl.
On Monday, the Brent contract gained USD 0.07 to close at USD 74.26/bbl following trades in a USD 73.82-74.75/bbl range, while the WTI contract rose USD 0.
