Commodities - Oil under USD 100, coal plunges

Wednesday was a volatile day for oil prices, with initial strength followed by a downturn later in the session. Meanwhile, coal prices continue to weaken.
US October crude lost 68 cents to settle at USD 102.58/bbl on Nymex Wednesday, after having touched an early high of USD 104.97/bbl as well as a mid-day low of 101.36/bbl.Meanwhile, the Brent front month shed USD 1.37 to a settlement of USD 98.97/bbl on the ICE, the lowest closing price since March.Thursday morning, prices were up again, last seen at USD 99.45/bbl.Oil defie
