Oil prices are trading sideways on Friday morning after losing USD 2 the previous day following weaker than expected US oil inventory figures, players said.
The front month December contract for Brent North Sea crude oil, which expires today, was last seen changing hands at USD 76.17/bbl on the ICE platform, up USD 0.15 on Thursday's close, when the contract lost USD 1.93 day on day.
On Nymex, the WTI December contract ended Thursday at USD 76.94/bbl, a drop of USD 2.34 on the previous close.
