Oil prices are trading sideways on Thursday morning following gains the previous day with market participants waiting on key economic indicators to give them direction, players said.
The September contract for Brent North Sea crude oil, was last seen changing hands at USD 63.58/bbl on the ICE platform, up slightly by USD 0.06 on the previous close. In New York, the WTI August contract was last seen trading up USD 0.06 at USD 61.60/bbl.
On Wednesday, the Brent contract closed USD 2.67 higher at USD 63.52/bbl, as a weaker dollar and stronger equities markets lifte
