Oil prices are trading flat around USD 66/bbl on Thursday after a significant sell-off on the back of an unexpected increase in US inventory figures, with the market expecting a further decline amid profit-taking, players said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 65.89/bbl, up USD 0.01 on Wednesday`s close.
On Wednesday, the contract settled down USD 2.29 at USD 68.17/bbl, while the WTI front month contract in New York ended the day down USD 2.43 at USD 66.12/bbl.
