Commodities – Oil surges

While oil prices jumped by more than a dollar on Thursday, other commodities were more bearish.
Oil prices surged by more than USD 1 on Thursday largely on the back of geopolitical concerns and fears of problems in the US refining system.ICE July Brent crude rose as high as USD 71.21 a barrel, but settled at USD 70.96.
