Crude oil is trading flat on Thursday morning, with prices under pressure from signs that global oil demand is still relatively weak and with players eying the escalating European debt crisis.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 86.10/bbl on the ICE platform, down USD 0.06 on Wednesday's close. The contract closed up USD 0.38 at USD 86.16/bbl on Wednesday.
On Nymex, the WTI May contract was last seen at USD 83.09/bbl, down USD 0.13 from Wednesday's finish. The WTI front month closed up USD 0.78 at USD 83.22/
