Oil prices are flat on Friday morning as the market awaits further direction from this afternoon's release of US non-farm payroll jobs data but are set to retain "an upward bias", analysts said.
The front month contract for Brent crude North Sea oil was last heard USD 0.07 higher at USD 81.68/bbl, while its counterpart WTI contract on Nymex was last seen USD 0.15 higher at USD 82.15/bbl.
Contracts were largely holding onto gains made earlier in the week and trading at the top of an 11-month range ahead of Friday's US non-farm payroll data, analysts said.
