Oil prices are falling on Friday morning after much healthier than expected US stockpile figures and gloomy economic data from the US and Asia evened out early gains on Thursday, players said.
The front-month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands down USD 0.33 at USD 45.06/bbl on the ICE platform. On Thursday, the contract closed up USD 0.37 at USD 45.39/bbl following trades within a USD 43.40-46.64/bbl spread.
On Nymex, the WTI contract for March delivery was last trading down USD 0.74 at USD 42.93/bbl following a Thursday closing USD 0.
