Oil prices are slipping on Wednesday morning in line with bearish economic data reports and losses on the Asian equities markets, prompting fears that growth in the US and China could be slowing down, players said.
The front month Brent North Sea oil contract was last seen USD 0.39 lower at USD 75.05/bbl, while the WTI contract on Nymex went through last USD 0.13 softer at USD 75.83/bbl.
The contracts are extending losses for the third consecutive day after falling almost 3% in the previous session as fears about the impact of tropical storm Alex on oil production in the Gulf of Mexico eroded
