Oil prices are softening on Wednesday morning after the American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday announced a 3.1m bbl rise in crude oil inventories for the previous week, players said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 66.70/bbl on the ICE platform, USD 0.17 below the previous close. In New York, the WTI September contract last traded down USD 0.35 at USD 65.26/bbl.
