Oil prices are weakening on Monday following lower than expected earnings from JP Morgan late on Friday, which added more doubts about the pace of US economic recovery, players said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 76.90/bbl on the ICE platform, down USD 0.21 on Friday's close.
On Nymex, the WTI February contract was last seen at USD 77.73/bbl, down USD 0.27 on the previous close.
On Friday, the Brent contract lost USD 1.46 to settle at USD 77.11/bbl,
