Oil prices are softening on Tuesday morning as the dollar, whose weakness contributed to lifting crude USD 2 in the previous session as the currency fell to a 15-month low, has begun to strengthen, one player said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 77.57/bbl on the ICE platform, down USD 0.20 on the previous close. On Nymex, the WTI December contract last traded USD 0.42 lower at USD 79.01/bbl.
On Monday, the Brent contract gained USD 1.90 to close at USD 77.77/bbl, following trades in a USD 76.26-78.52/bbl range, while the WTI contract
