Oil prices are softening on Wednesday morning after gaining more than a dollar in the previous session on positive economic data from the US, said one analyst.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 77.97/bbl on the ICE platform, down USD 0.14 on Tuesday' close.
The contract had ended the previous session up USD 1.56 at USD 78.11/bbl.
On Nymex, the WTI December contract closed Tuesday trading at USD 79.60/bbl, up USD 1.47 on Monday's close.
