Oil prices are weakening on Wednesday after gaining strength late Tuesday on the back of calls from Opec to increase compliance with production cuts, said one analyst.
The Brent North Sea crude oil contract for May delivery was last seen changing hands at USD 47.72/bbl on the ICE platform, down USD 0.52 on Tuesday's close. In New York, the WTI April contract traded down USD 0.65 at USD 48.51/bbl.
On Tuesday, the Brent May contract ended the day USD 1.78 higher at USD 48.24/bbl following trades in a USD 45.22-48.65/bbl range. The front
