Brent crude oil rises on Thursday morning, following hopes that fuel demand will be revived by a lifeline loan to US automakers.
The ICE Brent front month was last seen at USD 42.82/bbl, up 42 cents on the previous settlement, having traded within a USD 40.92-45.27 range on Wednesday before closing at USD 42.40/bbl, up 87 cents.
In New York, the WTI January contract gained USD 1.45 to settle at USD 43.52/bbl, after peaking at USD 46.17 and touching a low of USD 41.89 on Wednesday.
