Oil prices are extending previous session gains on Thursday morning, despite an "extremely bearish” EIA inventories report, players said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands up USD 0.25 at USD 73.73/bbl on the ICE platform.
On Wednesday, the Brent contract closed USD 1.10 higher at USD 73.48/bbl, following an intraday low of USD 71.75/bbl, while the WTI October contract on Nymex gained USD 0.89 to end the day at USD 72.52/bbl.
