Crude oil prices are rising on Tuesday after EU leaders signed a pact to halt the crippling eurozone debt crisis, suggesting demand could rise, while traders priced in the risk of Iran halting exports to Europe.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 111.37/bbl on the Ice platform, up USD 0.62 on Monday's close, while the WTI March contract on Nymex traded USD 0.52 higher at USD 99.30/bbl.
