Oil prices are rising on Tuesday morning following a setback on Monday afternoon amid growing concerns over the poor economic outlook for the global economy, said players.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands up USD 0.46 at USD 44.28/bbl on the ICE platform. On Monday, the contract ended the day USD 2.06 below the previous close at USD 43.82/bbl following trades in a EUR 43.77-46.56 range.
In New York, the WTI March contract last traded USD 0.39 above the previous close at USD 40.47/bbl.
