Oil prices are recovering slightly on Friday after falling over the previous session due to a rise in US crude stocks and expectations of Chinese measures to slow economic growth, players said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 96.75/bbl on the ICE platform, up USD 0.17 on Thursday's close, when the contract lost USD 1.58.
On Nymex, the WTI March contract was last seen at USD 89.73/bbl, up USD 0.13 on Thursday's close. The contract had dropped USD 2 the previous session.
