Oil prices are slightly stronger on Thursday morning following a plunge in prices late Wednesday afternoon as US inventory levels turned out better than predicted, players said.
The front-month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 46.22/bbl on the ICE platform, USD 0.36 above the previous close. On Wednesday, the contract finished down USD 4.67 at USD 45.86/bbl, after having peaked at USD 51.40/bbl.
In New York, the February WTI contract was last traded at USD 43.14/bbl after having lost USD 5.95 on Wednesday
