Commodities - Oil recovers, gas and carbon down

Oil prices came off Monday morning, then recovered later in the day. Both gas and carbon prices weakened.
Oil closed strongly despite the fact that the damage to US production and refining facilities caused by Hurricane Rita seems less severe than feared. ´´Oil prices are going to remain strong for the next few days until we get some reliable information on how the refineries and offshore production are recovering,´´ one player told Bloomberg news.November WTI at Nymex fell 54 cents to USD 6

Commodities - Oil tumbles on weaker Rita effect
Crude oil prices have come down from the recent highs as the weakened Rita did only limited damage to refineries. While gas was up on Friday, the underlying sentiment on the gas market was reported still as bearish. Coal firmed slightly opposed to carbon.
