Oil prices moved up this morning largely on the back of expectations that Opec will announce production cuts on Friday.
This morning the Brent front month was last traded up USD 1.60 at USD 71.20/bbl. In New York the December WTI contract traded USD 2.03 higher than the previous close at USD 73.88/bbl. After another volatile day in the oil markets on Friday, the November WTI contract in New York ended the week two dollars up from the previous close at USD 71.85/bbl, but USD 5.85 down week on week.
