Oil prices are rising on Friday as investors seek bargains after Thursday's sell-off, with a slide in the dollar against the euro also adding support to contracts, said players.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 76.26/bbl on the ICE platform, up USD 0.74 on Thursday's close.
Crude oil prices tumbled 3% on Thursday after an unexpected rise in US jobless claims combined with falling European industrial production to lead to fears global energy demand will fall.
