Oil prices are rising tentatively on Wednesday morning after Tuesday's "overdone sell-off”, which saw contracts slide more than 2% after a strike by Norwegian oil and gas workers ended following government intervention.
The front month contract for Brent crude North Sea oil was last seen traded at USD 98.48/bbl, up USD 0.51 day on day.
On Nymex, the WTI front month contract last traded at USD 84.50/bbl, up USD 0.60 on Tuesday's close.
