Commodities - Oil rebounds, gas stays strong

Oil prices gained at the end of the day´s session on Thursday, with gas also strong. However, the carbon market moved in the opposite way, with prices gaining early on and then falling back later.
Oil prices rebounded late on Thursday. In London, Brent crude for October delivery closed up 14 cents to close at USD 63.03 a barrel, having earlier traded down. In New York, there was a similar pattern with Nymex WTI for October delivery bouncing back late in the day to settle up 12 cents to USD 64.49.Energy Information Administration said that US crude stocks fell by 6.4m barrels in th

Commodities - Carbon climbs higher
Prices on CO2 allowances continued to rise slowly yesterday despite falling prices on oil and UK gas prices for the winter. However, oil prices are rising this morning on concerns that US fuel inventories have taken a real beating by hurricane Katrina.

Prices on CO2 allowances continued to rise slowly yesterday despite falling prices on oil and UK gas prices for the winter. However, oil prices are rising this morning on concerns that US fuel inventories have taken a real beating by hurricane Katrina.
