Oil prices are up more than USD 1 on Monday morning as US oil production facilities on the Gulf of Mexico have been shut down due to the tropical storm Isaac, said analysts.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 114.84/bbl on the Ice platform, up USD 1.25 on Friday's close.
On Nymex, the WTI front month contract was last seen at USD 97.16/bbl, up USD 1.01.
