Oil prices are rising in line with stronger Asian equity markets and a weaker dollar on Thursday morning after shedding considerable strength in the previous session amid bearish US inventory data, players said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands up USD 0.53 at USD 78.41/bbl on the ICE platform, while the WTI January contract on Nymex last traded USD 0.36 higher at USD 76.96/bbl.
On Wednesday, the Brent contract closed down USD 1.47 at USD 77.88/bbl, following trades in a USD 77.48-79.67/bbl range, while the WTI contract shed USD 1.77 to
