Oil prices have shed around USD 3 since Friday amid a drop in jet fuel demand due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland and fraud charges against US investment bank Goldman Sachs, players said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands down USD 1.01 at USD 84.98/bbl on the ICE platform, while on Nymex, the WTI May contract - which expires at the end of the current session - last traded USD 1.33 lower at USD 81.91/bbl.
