Oil prices are trading lower on Friday morning due to profit-taking ahead of the weekend, said players.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 78.15/bbl on the ICE platform, down USD 0.42 on Thursday's close.
On Thursday, the Brent contract lost USD 0.49 to close at USD 77.82/bbl, while the WTI contract finished USD 0.26 lower at USD 79.39/bbl.
