Oil prices are trading slightly lower on Wednesday morning as the market focuses too much on the US dollar while strong demand in Asia is being sidelined, said a player.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 77.67/bbl on the ICE platform, down USD 0.25 on Tuesday when it gained 66 cents day on day to close at USD 77.92/bbl.
On Nymex, the WTI December contract closed at USD 79.55/bbl on Tuesday, up 87 cents compared with the previous day.
