Oil prices are hovering above USD 77/bbl on Tuesday morning as concerns continue to ease that production in the US Gulf of Mexico will be disrupted by tropical storm Alex, said market players.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 77.01/bbl on the ICE platform, down USD 0.58 on Monday's close.
On Nymex, the WTI August contract was last seen changing hands at USD 77.58/bbl, down USD 0.67 from the previous close.
