Commodities – Oil hits USD 70

Oil prices strengthened Thursday afternoon, and have continued up to USD 70/barrel in London this morning.
Crude oil prices rose Thursday, in a market described as cautious after the sharp fall seen in the past week. Despite high petrol prices in the US , the demand is expected to be very high this summer. At Nymex, the contract for June settled at USD 69.45/barrel, up 76 cents day on day.
