Oil prices are rising on Monday on the back of data showing Chinese imports of crude hit a record high in December, said players.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 82.04/bbl on the ICE platform, up USD 0.67 on Friday's close.
On Nymex, the WTI February contract was last seen at USD 83.58/bbl, up USD 0.83 on previous close.
