Oil prices are trading a touch above Friday's close on Monday morning, buoyed by new governments in Italy and Greece as well as rising US consumer confidence.
The front month contract for Brent crude North Sea oil last traded at USD 114.68, up USD 0.52 on Friday's close.
On Nymex, the front month WTI contract was last seen at USD 99.10/bbl, up USD 0.11 on the previous close.
