Commodities - Oil firms on improved US economic data

Oil prices are rising on Friday morning after improved US economic data was released, with housing starts increasing and applications for unemployment benefits falling, players said.
The front month contract for Brent North Sea crude oil was last seen changing hands at USD 92.12/bbl on the ICE platform, up USD 0.52 on Thursday's close, while on Nymex, the WTI December contract last traded USD 0.55 higher at USD 88.25/bbl. While the data had improved month on month - a healthy signal for oil demand - it was in line with analyst expectations, players said
